I've been around hay since I was ten years old. My uncle ran a dairy farm, so I grew up in the fields learning how good hay is made, from cutting and raking to baling and drying. That work never left me. To this day I'm still hands-on in the production process, out on the equipment and in the field every season. I've also spent more than twenty years with horses. As an equine transporter, I've hauled horses across the country and seen what they're fed along the way. Too often it was stemmy, rough hay with none of the smell or quality I was raised on. Good hay should hit you like a fresh cup of coffee, that rich, sweet smell you notice the moment you walk in the barn. I knew those horses were missing out on the nutrition they deserved, and I knew I could do better. That's why I started TK Meadows. Good hay isn't a shortcut, it's a standard. Most of our hay is grown organically, third-party lab tested, and produced with the kind of care that shows the moment a horse takes a bite. And because I'm in transportation too, I can get it where it needs to go, right to your barn. When you deal with TK Meadows, you deal directly with me. Your animals don't have a voice, so I make sure their hay speaks for itself. ![tom-sign](https://www.tkmeadowsfeed.com/hubfs/about/tom-sign.webp) ![tom](https://www.tkmeadowsfeed.com/hubfs/home/tom.webp) --- Our Standards ## Built on a Standard, Not a Shortcut Nutrition is the whole point. Horses depend on what's in their hay, and the difference between average hay and great hay shows up in their health, their energy, and their coats. That's why we grow for nutritional value first, staying involved at every step of the process so the quality holds from the field to your barn. "Purely Grown, Proudly Delivered" isn't a tagline to us. It's how we operate. Our hay is grown organically, lab tested for protein and moisture, and moved on our own trucks, so nothing gets compromised between us and you. ![built-on-standard](https://www.tkmeadowsfeed.com/hubfs/about/built-on-standard.webp) Field & harvest --- what we stand for ## Three things we never compromise. ![lab-tasted-quality](https://www.tkmeadowsfeed.com/hubfs/home/lab-tasted-quality.webp) ### Lab-Tested Quality Every batch is third-party agriculture lab tested so you know exactly what's in the bale. Protein, moisture, minerals, all on the spec sheet. ![purely-grown](https://www.tkmeadowsfeed.com/hubfs/home/purely-grown.webp) ### Purely Grown 80%+ certified organic with no chemical shortcuts. Grown in soil we've stewarded for decades and cut at peak nutrition. ![proudly-delivered](https://www.tkmeadowsfeed.com/hubfs/home/proudly-delivered.webp) ### Proudly Delivered Owner-to-customer delivery across Ontario and seasonal routes into Florida and the eastern US.
